Directions
By Road – from the West:
Junction 40 (Penrith) of the M6 Motorway.
Follow signs for A66 eastbound – towards Appleby, Brough and Scotch Corner

On entering the village, Temple Sowerby House is easily found on the right hand
side of the road, opposite the Maypole Green
By Road – from the East:
From Scotch Corner, take the A66 – towards Brough, Appleby and Penrith.
Temple Sowerby House is approximately six miles west of Appleby.

By Rail:
Penrith Railway Station is approximately 10 minutes drive from Temple Sowerby
House. The hotel can arrange for taxis to meet guests, please enquire.
The station is located on the West Coast line with regular direct links with
London Euston.
By Air:
Temple Sowerby House is within a two hour drive from Manchester, Newcastle and
Glasgow Airports. Carlisle also has an airport.
It is possible to land helicopters in the garden at Temple Sowerby House, by
prior arrangement.
