In conjunction with Greystoke
Castle, we can offer a variety of activities for you to enjoy over a weekend
or midweek break. Quad Biking, Clay
Target Shooting, Fly Fishing,
Musket Firing, Abseiling, to name but a few!
A typical weekend would be along the following lines :-

breakfast, a 15 minute drive across to Greystoke Castle to try your hand
at Quad Biking or 4x4 off-road driving
Spend the afternoon learning archery and musket firing, returning in time for drinks before dinner |

| Sunday | Leisurely breakfast and a game of croquet on the lawn before departing for home, or return to Greystoke for more excitement ! | |
The above example
would cost from around £245 per person, including Saturday’s activities and
dinner, bed and breakfast for two nights here at Temple Sowerby House For groups
of four or more, discounts are available if at least four activities are included.

Golf,
Fishing and Shooting
We can book Golf
for you at a number of courses in the region, including Appleby, Penrith and
Silloth. Whether you just want a
two-ball or you are bringing a party from your Golf Society, the weekend can be
structured to suit your requirements.
Fishing on
the River Eden is a delight with numerous peaceful spots for fly-fishing, Brown
Trout and Salmon being the main attraction. Let us know what you’re looking
for and we’ll find something suitable.
Shooting for
Grouse, Partridge or Pheasant can be arranged for parties of 8 or more.
Please give as much
notice as possible.
· Grouse Shooting from 12 August to 10 December, driven and walked up days
· Partridge days from 1 September to 1 October. Driven days only, over valleys on hill ground. 200 bird days
· Mixed days of Pheasant, Partridge, Duck & Grouse (if available) from 1 October to 31 December. 100 bird days
· Driven Pheasant shooting from 1 November to 31 January. 200 bird days
· Small, Rough days available from 1 October to 31 December. Shooting all game in season on the day
· Duck flighting from 1 September to 31 January on wild flight ponds
